happy new year

haha...its 2007...
i was anxiously waiting for baby to give me stomach ache...
but it was a disappointment...
nope...i didnt give birth to the oldest baby in 2007...
but also luckily...he's not the youngest baby in 2006...hahaha...
its not a joke ok...its only a few minutes of difference...

well...baby is still safe and sound...warm in mommy's womb...
i guess he must be super comfortable inside...
that's why he's refusing to come out...
hmmm....maybe i should start eating things that he doesnt like...
ha.ha..ha...

anyway...to recap 2006...not for anybody...but myself...
2005 certainly wasnt a good year...
that's why 2006 began much better...!
and it had been a super fast-paced year...
tonnes of major events in my life...
super lots of wonderful memories!!!

i had the love of my life back by my side...
i remembered i knew that this was going to be a good year...
cos i went for the AIG annual dinner...and won a lucky draw prize!!! it wasnt a big prize...juz a $50 voucher i think...but it began my trail of good luck for the year!!!
was sent to new zealand for the first time of my life...
had my taste of bungee jumping...jet river rides...real snow-skiing on the queenstown mountains...

then came back to singapore in one piece...but 2 lives...
had the biggest shock of my life...
went to register for marriage...
moved into my hubby's place...
then darling commissioned from OCS proper...went to his commissioning parade...

a few weeks later...it was his commissioning ball...was grand...held at conrad centennial...a fun night...and he proposed!!!

it was the most romantic thing he had ever done...and i'm sure i'll never forget that night...full of memories...i'm sure...for both of us...especially when that was only 3 days before my 21st birthday!!
had my ROM banquet...not many people attended...cos we didnt invite...only family members were there...but it was heart-warming...

had loads of fun taking my wedding photos...

went at the studio...we must have been one of the easiest couple to take photos of...

then went sentosa for outdoor shoots...wanted to climb that "孩子树" but i wasnt allowed to...~BOO~
then i also went tour leading to Bali with gerri...was a nice experience...

Bali is really a nice place to be at...wonderful beaches...nice shopping...fantastic place...i muz bring my darling there one day...!
then it was our wedding dinner...most of my friends turned up...really enjoy the night!!!
lotsa well-wishes...lotsa fun...lotsa food and booze...

that really explains why darling had to go to the washroom a few times before heading home...had to sit outside the house with him for almost an hour before he recovered to go inside the house...had to change for him as he was dead drunk and couldnt change out of his clothes...
then the amkss friends...i heard yirong and june yi had to wash car...cos some of them puked in it...
but anyway...it was still a great deal of fun...
then started all the routine check-ups at the hospital with darling accompanying me for almost every single one of it...
saw baby for the first time...i can still remember the excitement...
and i still remember the joy on darling's face...when he first felt baby's kickings...
still remember a month ago...when i called him at the hospital...his worried look when he arrived...
not to mention...i also received my excellence service award this year!! exciting sia...

and finally...at company's annual xmas party...i won a major prize!!!
it was the 5/6th prize (cos it was the same prize)...an SQ return air-ticket to Hong Kong!!!
omg...i think its the first time i've won such a grand prize...

it must be a good way to end off the year for me...

stepping into the first few days of 2007...
it seems like nothing much has changed...
we're all still the same...
but i knw that there are really a lot a lot of things that are going to be different this year...
we're expecting baby in less than 2 weeks...
this isnt going to be easy...but i knw we can just manage it well...

will be resuming work just before the march natas fair...
i dont knw how i'm going to cope...but i guess i'll work sth out...

will be resuming my tour leading duties sometime soon after i return to work...
at that time...baby will be only 3-4 months old...
i really dont know if i will bear to leave my child...even for only 3 days...
but i guess...i'll work something out...

anyway...a lot a lot...super lots of uncertainties ahead...
but i guess that's just life...
so i just hope...
everything will be better for the year ahead...
not just for me...but for ALL that are around me!!!

its xmas eve today ok...and i juz came back from lunch...haha...
yearend is always a joyous festive season...
and of all the festivals....i love x'mas the most!!!
although it means burning a big big hole in my pockets buying presents...BOO~

anyway...past few days have been great fun too!!
first it was xmas party in office...
we were all busy exchanging presents...having fun...
and the lucky draw muz be the "highlight" of the day!!
and i won an air-ticket to Hong Kong on SQ!!
omg...lucky me right?!?! haha...couldnt believe it...heez...=)
then gerri's sis gave birth to a big cute chubby sumo wrestler baby...haha...
so super duper cute!!
juz looking at the pictures makes my day...

then went to see Yatie and her baby ytd afternoon...
she's doing great.......and her baby tooo!!!

then we proceeded to The Cathay...wanted to catch the 5+ show...
that Jay Chow movie...
then can go for dinner at PS 7+...haha...
what a perfect arrangement right...
then wont go home too late also ma...
but hoh...stupid me...
forgot to book tickets first...
then when we reached...sold out liaoz...
haiz~ had to settle for 6.10pm show...
then the show finished 8+...no mood for dinner liaoz...
no appetite also...
haha

well...the show...i personally feel that its not really very nice la...
not as nice as all the reviews made it to be...
well...its may be a really expensive movie...
but storyline...quite weak...
erm...jay's acting...not that fantastic...
gong li was good...
but chow yun fatt could have done better too...
overall...it could have been much better i guess...
but i really like the 菊花台 song...
suits the show perfectly!!!

walked down orchard road...
so nice...
all the lightings and the atmosphere...was very very good!!
wanted to buy more xmas presents...
for more friends..
darling told me not to bother buying for his brothers...
haha...so ok lo...no pressies for them!
then...erm...wrapping the night up...nothing much done...

back at work

haha...after resting at home for 2 weeks...
i'm back in office!
woohoo...hahaha...
its like...finally ar...finally i can get out of home...haha...

well...there's been some unhappiness with dearz these 2 weeks...
was so angry with him...
but we managed to get things solved...
well...some really stupid and trivial matters la...
not worth mentioning about also...

actually i should really thank God for giving me my darling...
he's always been there for me...
even when we were going thru bad bad times...
even when i have my mood swings...
even when i was throwing tantrums...
even when i was juz doing stupid things for attention...
hahaha...yah yah yah...i'm childish...
and i'm behaving like a child...
but so what...i guess wat's important is that u have someone there who's always willing to accommodate you...=)

after 6 weeks...dusk is back in singapore...
they went boat quay last week...but i had to give it a miss...
cos darling didnt want me to go those places now...
then last night...they met out for dinner and mj...
i also had no part in it...
cos darling say i have to work today...and shld sleep early...
hmmm...actually is i say i dont wanna go la...
i actually feel bad lo...
he's always at home...accompanying me...
but i think he should have his own time with his friends...
doing his own things also ma...
so i decided i'll stay at home and sleep early...

then i really sleep early lehz...i slept at about midnight...
but then...i woke up real early too!
before his mj game was over...
i woke up and started sms-ing him to ka jiao his game...

a new maid

well...she's from indonesia...
and supposedly experienced in jakarta...
but she still seems a bit slow to me...
i guess this is part of the cultural differences that i have to adjust to...
anyway...my mom-in-law took leave today to ask her to do some chores...
so here i am...blogging...hahahaha

it will be my turn tml...
omg...cant imagine me...myself telling her to do things...
then i sit around and watch tv...omg...
that certainly sounds bad...
anyway...its saturday tml...
so everybody shld be at home rite...haha...

i'll be seeing her the most...
cos she's gonna accompany me back to my mom's place for confinement...
now when i'm still on leave...she's at home everyday...
and in the next few weeks when i'm clearing leave....
she is also at home...

i went causeway point with jolene ytd...hahahaa....and had sakae sushi buffet high tea...

the trip was smooth...
the arrangements were good...

started my antenatal class...
been taking a lot more leaves than before...
and being a good gal resting at home a lot of times...

all was well...
there were quite a number of people...
but then most we dont know one...
mostly are her relatives...
only a handful of us were sec friends...
quite a nice party nonetheless...

on tuesday...10 Oct...i went down to OCBC to do my first group briefing...
luckily...gerri and kim were there...
gerri actually did the presentation for me...haha...
which was a lucky thing...cos i've nvr done or seen an incentive trip briefing yet...
kim was there cos she is the tour leader for my group...
then after that...i went to buy don's pie with gerri...haha...
bought some chicken pie and cheesecake and chocolate cakes for darling and family...

then 11 oct...we went to IP Kaiho's for dinner as a department...haha...
it was great fun...and i took quite a bit of pictures...
hasnt had the time to upload them yet...shall post them here some other time...

then talk about my angry weekend...
friday...i was ready to leave office promptly at 6 30...
then 5+...darling called...and say that he cant leave...
gotta go for some mass thingy...
so nvm lo...stayed on at office for a while...
then went over to suntec walk walk...

slept soundly...nice slp...
woke up at 11am...~wooh~

then darling called to say he cant meet...

and darling is already so tired and drained...
so hoh...haiz~ went to Taka and got him a pair of shoes...to brighten him up...
haha..then i got my Loreal foundation...
haha...the box also so nice...
then the color so blend into my skin color...haha...
can start putting make-up to work already...haha...

alamak...then ytd went to Face Shop and saw a liquid foundation
that i so love as well...
so light and easy to apply...
blends quite well into my skin color as well!!
i wanna buy that as well...
hmmm...maybe i shall get that too...! haha...

wow...finally after wat seems like forever...
i'm getting a rest...things in office have finally slowed down in pace...
i finally can go home early after work to rest...slp...and to settle my own stuffs...

Special thanks to all who took time off to attend our wedding dinner...
it was a wonderful and special nite for both me and kelvin...
there were a few times i nearly wanted to cry...

although the whole wedding preparations were tiring...and tedious...
i guess...looking at the dinner turning out well...
when all your guests enjoyed themselves...
it makes all worthwhile...

a lot of friends told me that the dinner was grand...
my only pity was that i didnt have time to take pictures with every table...
there were 65 tables in total ok!!!
considering some table had more than 10...
we had more than 650 guests...!

sorry to my friends who had to sit in that room too...
i really am sorry...i didnt knw it wasnt part of the main hall...
we thot that it was the passageway separating...i'm really sorry...
i hope you guys had enjoyed the dinner and the food nonetheless!!!

also muz thank kelvin's army friends...
who specially took time off to come over to attend the wedding dinner...

well...and i guess some of you muz have known...
kelvin was dead drunk that nitez...omg...
before we left the restaurant...he was puking...
when we were on the car not even out of the carpark...he was puking...
when we reach home...he was still outside the house puking...!
omg...i guess all he could remember of the nite muz be his vomits!!!
hahaha...stupid me...forgot to take a photo of him in his ugliest..
sure can extort a great deal of things from him one!!!

then after the wedding...havent even got time to settle in marriage life...
gotta come back to office and prepare for natas fair...
omg...things were still as unprepared and unready as the previous fair...
we had to work thru the nights...going home in the wee hours...

not to mention also...we were severely lacking of staffs...
apparently...the SP interns this yr...cannot take all these late nitez...
complaint to the lecturers that we're abusing them...
and are now taken out of the company...
so...we're down by 2...

then...the new China lady...also not used to it...(my colleagues told me one...)
and starting to act weirdly in the middle of the nights...
so she always leave early also...

that leaves the preparations to only the 4 in counter...
and the rest of us at the back...

the Natas fair is held at Expo this yr...
it took me 1.5 hrs to travel on train to the fair site...
so...for the 3 whole days...i met Kim at Khatib and we took cabs...
both ways...to and fro...
hahaha...
cannot tahan ar...already not enough slp...still muz take train so long...
will die one u know!!!

finally...we came back...dun think we hit the target...
but still...it was a better fair than the previous...
and after these 2 long weeks...
things are finally going at normal pace...

now...i'm only busy with my Perth grp...departing on the 19 Oct...
i'd wanted to lead the group myself...
but then...cannot fly anymore...so...let Kim lead for me...
the pre-tour briefing is on tue evening...
i've already got the booklet and powerpoint ready...
so juz gotta print the booklets out on mon...and staple them...
and muz remember to bring my Diners bags...
and the booklets...
and the freebies from WA...
and a few travel adaptors for them...
that shld be all ba...

wedding gowns...

whoa...finally managed to settle my gowns...
was so worried when last week...
the people from the shop called me to tell me that all my gowns...
I CANT WEAR THEM!!!
omg...i nearly asthma attack + heart attack + eveything attack together ar...

haha...but anyway...luckily...i managed to get them settled
hahaha
mama went to the shop with me today...
and we re-chose the gowns...
though the bridal gown is not as nice as the original one....
but its really sweet...
haha...but i shall not post the photo here yet...
next week ba...next week after the dinner...then post here...haha!!!

the evening gown is more elaborate though...
its not a common color...and definitely not a color that i normally wear...
its GREEN!! but its cute...really really cute...haha...

now the gowns are hanging in my room....

i finally had time to catch a movie with kelvin...on my insistence...

woohoo...its been such a long time since i last blogged...
getting more and more excited...
my wedding's in about 2 weeks...
tomorrow got the "guo da li" thingy...
omg...so busy...
all my things haven buy finish...
later after work still gotta go finish up on my shopping...
muz go buy things like bedsheet...quilt covers...etc itsy bitsy things...

and i think i forgot to mention that i was in bali about 2 weeks ago?? end august...
it was pretty fun...
had fun dressing up as indians...

then the wedding dinner will be on the 23 sept...
counting down 14 days (2 weeks) exactly from today...haha...

tour leading assignment

well...in office now...finishing up on the last minute stuffs...
flying off to Bali later today...
i guess...this will be my last tour leading assignment in the next yr...?

bad bad experience at MAX BRENNER

well...its National Day round the corner again...
as usual...the Singapore Fireworks Festival is here too!
was looking forward to the first display last saturday on the 05th aug...

went to work as usual...
the day had been same...
nothing much special...
was bored...kelvin gotta stay home for the day...
so asked wing go orchard for some shopping time...
bought my moisturisers for both day and night
cos Metro was having storewide 20% sale...hahaha...
but she bought even more!!!
omg...juz look at the bags of things that she bought...

met kelvin at scotts for dinner...then marvin came over to join us...
after dinner...we took a cab and went over to esplanade to see the fireworks display...
we got a pretty good view...cos we were on the esplanade bridge...haha...
but then...very very squeezy...
the wind was a good thing...cos it made the situation less stuffy...

guess i was too excited over the fireworks...
i was literally jumping non-stop...and screaming "wah...wah...WAH..."
hahha...kelvin muz have been soooo embarassed...
i guess so...and baby didnt like it too...haha
cos after fireworks i had this super actue pain in my stomach...
u shld have seen the worried look on kelvin's face...

anyway...all 4 of us went to esplanade after that...
cos i wanted chocolate fondue...
and the nearest place i remembered that served that was Max Brenner...

omg...wat a bad decision that muz have been...
the ridiculous queue not to mention...
and the rude service that i seriously dun think we deserved!
the service staffs were crowded together chit-chatting...
(or at least they look so even if they werent...)
when people were impatiently queueing outside...
the food was not served diligently...
guests are kept waiting outside AND inside the restaurant...

worse was...darling was ordering from the menu...
nowhere in the menu, restaurant or anywhere else was anything stating that certain foods are seasonal and/or subjected to availability!!
after me n wing ordered our fondue...darling ordered his food...
3 times, 3 different items he ordered...he had a rude "no more" answer...
WTF!!! i was like...what kinda restaurant or even a cafe is this?!
they're not exactly cheap...and obviously people expect SERVICE for the price they charge...
they're located in an arts centre...and u shld keep up to your name!!!

food was served ridiculously slow...
and i was like rattling on and on and on to darling and my friends...
CAN WE JUST LEAVE THIS PLACE!!!
i'd rather go somewhere else for ice-cream...

even when we called for the bill...it took ages to come!!
SHIT them lo...got time to chit-chat...no time to bring bill over...
nvm...then i gave $50 note for $30+ bill...not very exaggerating rite...
not like i gave them a $1000 bill or something...
wah...they tell me they no change lehz...
i nearly wanted to strangle them...
then best lo...give me i think $6+ $7 worth of coins lehz...
can u imagine...it wasnt even like near closing time ok...
how can they run out of change...
if that's an excuse...that's a ROTTEN one...

i seriously think people out there...shld think twice before going there again...
unless their service standards improve...
i think its doom time for them...

anyway...stupid me forgot to take the receipt when i left the place...
if not...i sure go CASE complain about their service de...

lucky for the restaurant...they dun have a webby or a contact email add...

jolene's 21st birthday bash

well...a couple of weeks ago...
went for jolene's 21st birthday bash...
it was held @ pasir ris downtown east...

after the birthday bash...
we were supposed to go Boat Quay for World Cup match de...
but then hoh...think we were too late that night...
all the pubs with tv were already full house...
so we went to WOW club...
sit..drink..chit-chat...
but i was getting very very bored...
cos no alcohol for me...that also meant no games for me...
then we left early...
in fact very early...
even before dusk n kin came over we left le...hahaha...

happy married life...

now i've got more "brothers" cos kelvin has 2 brothers...
and i've got much much more relatives than i can ever imagine...

i'm still learning to adapt...
living with in-laws is something i muz really get used to...
and i also need time to realise that i've got much much more relatives and cousins now...

but well...the good side is...
i've also got many many more people doting on me now!!

and darling has been sweet and doting...
he always picks me up from work whenever he can...
coax me to slp first...
give me a good morning kiss before he leaves for work...
and also not to forget the talks to "baby" every night...

but well...i've been sick this week...
everyday also dun feel well...
