wow...its been 2 wks since i last blogged...

just came back from hkg on monday...

by the time i reached home...it was my birthday already!!

went to hkg for the ITE show...it means international trade exhibition...

was sent there by company...

we were sponsored by United Airlines and there were only 8 representatives from Singapore

Bintan

well...i had a trip to Bintan...
dont get mistaken ok...
its not for leisure...
i'm there for work...
to do site inspection for my upcoming company trip that i'm organising...

well...the trip is fulfilling...
we achieved our aims...
we met up with the right people...
so what i have to do to now is to follow up the meeting with an email with all the details...

had some hands on shopping too...
went to the factory outlet and bought a couple of tops for myself and kayden...
bought a kuek lapis for kelvin and family
I SO WANNA GET THE BAG AND WALLET!!!
they were soooo nice...
but i didnt have enough cash...
and i dun wanna pay by card and by charged the bank's exchange rates...
argh!!! nvm...i'll get it the next time round...
hopefully they still have the sales on...

Pasar oleh-oleh has some reasonable spa and massage packages...
so...time for me too!

then after coming back from Bintan...
i went home...washed up...changed kayden...
then brought him out to meet lynn, lingzi and brenda...
had dinner at paragon...nice soba and udon dinner...
then walked around a bit at Paragon...
then headed home...

we all had a ride home cos Steve came to pick Brenda...haha...
lucky us!

besides the company trip that is coming up in July...
i also have a trip to Hong Kong confirmed on 12 June...
its a work trip tho...
but 2 days free and easy for me over the weekends
and i'll have a day at Shenzhen...
maybe can buy some faux branded goods??
and get a massage...and spa??
can do something to my hair??

anyway...sure will pay a visit to my grandparents...

then after that the company trip will come up on the first weekend of July...
then hopefully my group to Korea confirms for October...
then i can go Korea for the first time!
and maybe a trip to Beijing in October if confirmed...

hopefully...well...this sounds like a lot of traveling...
but i guess i'll miss kayden...

kayden's fallen ill

well...some of you may have heard...
others not know anything...
well...i havent been working for the past week...
cos kayden was hospitalised for almost one week...

he was warded on monday...(last monday) due to an infection of his lymph nodes...
around the chin area...

it was really bad...
he developed a fever...
had tonnes of pus in the wound...
was swelling badly...
and had an operation that evening...

although it was just a minor one...
just to make a small opening so that the pus could be drained out...
but it really pains me...
he's only 4.5m old...

moreover...for the next 5 days...
we had to feed him medicine everyday...
whenever we feed him, he'll cry so badly...
he recognises his medicine and starts to close his mouth so tightly that you can hardly open it at all!
we had to beat him and find ways to make him cry so that he will open his mouth...

this naughty boy...initially he had this IV thingy on him for the medicine one...
but he's naughty lo...the first day...he pulled off the one on his hand...
second day kicked off the one on his leg...
omg...he must have forgotten how painful it was to put it in...
the doctors had to do it like 6-7 times before they could get it!!
now all his 4 limbs are all bruised with so many injection holes cos of all these!!

but i really Thank God for kayden...
at least he's still cheerful and happy when he's awake...
minus the times when he was eating medicine and when they changed his dressing...

anyway...kayden spent 5 nights in the hospital...
including 1 night in high dependency ward (post op)...
was only discharged on sat morning...
went back for checkup this morning..
luckily he's healing well...
and we dont need to bring him to doctors to change his dressings daily...
so i'll have to wake up super duper early for 1 more month...
to bathe him and change his dressing before i go to work...

well well...in this 5 nights stay in the hospital...
we saw a lot of funny things too...
haha...and a lot of sad stories...
that made us realised that although we very heartpain that kayden has to go thru all these at this age...
but there are really a lot more sad sad stories out there...

shall be going back to work on thursday...
hopefully kayden will be good...
well...after this 10 days with me..
he's grown very attached to me lehz... =)

okok...here's all about the videos...

well...some updates about life lately...

brought kayden for injection on sat morning...
he was rather grouchy after the jab...
he didnt scream his lungs out this time...
but developed a fever...
and we couldnt bring him to the BBQ...

then sun we brought him to shave hair...
think he got a bit scared la...

anyway...those videos are the looks of him after the shave...
doesnt look much diff right...
but both me and darling feel that not as cute as with those little hair liaoz...

erm...then brought him to office yesterday to collect his baby rocker chair...

we also decided that darling will sign on...
for 6 loong years...
but he'll try for NTU again next year...
and if not, he'll get an SIM degree...

but anyway...once he sign on, he'll be eligible for credit cards!!
then i can make him give me a sup card!!

meanwhile...i upped my repayment amount to $200 per month...
and in 2 yrs, i should be free of debts...
then gotta start paying my housing loan liaoz...
forever in debts...
not a good feeling!!!

i also went to book my BTT test date...
well... i certainly hope i pass it this time...
so that i can go on to get my PDL...
and then learn driving proper...
so that we can get a car soon too!

so by 2010-2011...we'll have our own flat...

well...last week i took 2 days off...

we went to sign the insurance policies for myself and kayden...

it really surprises me how "generous" i am with kayden...

i bought a policy with a higher premium for him than myself ok!!!

but i guess its worth it...

then on friday...we went to PS to catch HIlls have Eyes 2...on my insistence...

i wanted soooo much to catch the show...

cos i watched the first part...

omg...its really damn gruesome and horrible...

its yucky and never fails to scare me with its gory scenes...

but anyway...i love thrillers like this...

peeping the show through my fingers...

that's the way i love the watch these shows...

but luckily...i'm not scared of thrillers and gory scenes like the way i'm scared of ghost movies...

thus...once i came out from the theatre...

i'm not scared already...haha

wow...its been 2 wks since i last blogged...

and i realised that my friends are all moving to wordpress one by one...

henry-maybe i shld have listened to you and move...then i would have been one of the first....wahahahahaha!!!

eh...well...had an extended holidays for good friday weekend cos i took thur off...

some problems with a colleague for her group...

but well...all settled in the end la...

kayden was supposed to go for his 5-in-1 jab on wednesday...

but due to work...had to postpone it...

so kayden had his jab on thursday...05 april...

we gave him the rotavirus jab too...

hahaha...he was soooo funny lo...

the rotavirus vaccine is taken orally...

and apparently...it tastes good too!

so kayden 贪吃 la...eat already open his mouth for somemore...

the doc had a really easy time giving him the vaccine...

then comes the jab...omg!!!

he screamed sooo loud!

heartpain ar...

must be really painful for him...

went to church with kayden on good friday...

and had lunch with my friends...

the aunties were having fun passing kayden around so everyone could carry him...

but poor kayden...he was already hungry...

anyway...hahaha...he was pretty obedient...didnt break out in tears...

just made some noises...then i fed him milk when we reached our destination for lunch...

but he also nvr drink finish then go sleep already...

then went for dim sum buffet on easter sunday...hahaha...

then went to HDB to submit application for flat...

this sat balloting results will be out and we'll be notified of our queue number to choose flat...

quite exciting hoh...

last weekend was eventful...

we went to downtown east for kelvin's friend's birthday party...

then went to join them at boat quay...

we had great fun there too...

i miss going drinking and pubbing with friends...

and i certainly miss ktv-ing!!

my maid was trying to coax him sleep...but he only wants mommy to hug him...haha...

he slept between me n hubby...for 2 nights...
and he got so used to sleeping with us...

haha...finally i have some time to my own...

~phew~ juz started work last mon...and it was pre-natas...

going home only after midnight every night...

sooo tired after i reach home...

and no time to do anything else...

life last week was only work n work n work and nothing else...

well...there was CNY...

i've also come back from my aussie trip...
juz touched down singapore this morning at 4am...

well...i dunno if i'm lucky or unlucky...haha...
the 1st night when we were at sydney...canberra was raining hailstones...
amazing right???
how many of us has actually seen hailstones!!!
moreover...the hailstones were sizes of golf balls!!!!!
omg...amazing right!
the next day when we arrived...
we saw the ice still lying on the floor...
they were still size of ice that we normally put in our drinks...haha....

then that night...we were in canberra...the weather was cooling and nice...
and sydney was experiencing horrentious rain...
haha...
we missed both....
erm...well...good thing was i'm glad we missed it...
if not i'll probably be shivering in cold for those days...

but then...it would be an interesting experience...isnt it!!

anyway...indonesia is having earthquakes...
and singapore can actually feel it...
we could feel it at home...
and office was worse...
Gina was telling me that they got evacuated twice...

well well...

nothing about myself at all...
hmmm...this is MY blog lehz...!
think i might as well set up another blog for baby...hahaha!!

i have been good...recovering well and etc...
i'm soooo looking forward to next weekend...
cos it spells the end of my confinement!!!

no need to wear socks and slippers at home..

after visiting the polyclinic twice...
i'm glad that baby is "certified" to be healthy...
as in...no jaundice...

sort of had some bad arguements at home with my mom
and decided that i shouldnt bother her...

its sooo much worse than working and going tour leading and etc...
but juz looking at him gives me so much satisfaction...

haha...its 2007...
i was anxiously waiting for baby to give me stomach ache...
but it was a disappointment...
nope...i didnt give birth to the oldest baby in 2007...
but also luckily...he's not the youngest baby in 2006...hahaha...
its not a joke ok...its only a few minutes of difference...

well...baby is still safe and sound...warm in mommy's womb...
i guess he must be super comfortable inside...
that's why he's refusing to come out...
hmmm....maybe i should start eating things that he doesnt like...
ha.ha..ha...

anyway...to recap 2006...not for anybody...but myself...
2005 certainly wasnt a good year...
that's why 2006 began much better...!
and it had been a super fast-paced year...
tonnes of major events in my life...
super lots of wonderful memories!!!

i had the love of my life back by my side...
i remembered i knew that this was going to be a good year...
cos i went for the AIG annual dinner...and won a lucky draw prize!!! it wasnt a big prize...juz a $50 voucher i think...but it began my trail of good luck for the year!!!
was sent to new zealand for the first time of my life...
had my taste of bungee jumping...jet river rides...real snow-skiing on the queenstown mountains...

then came back to singapore in one piece...but 2 lives...
had the biggest shock of my life...
went to register for marriage...
moved into my hubby's place...
then darling commissioned from OCS proper...went to his commissioning parade...

a few weeks later...it was his commissioning ball...was grand...held at conrad centennial...a fun night...and he proposed!!!

it was the most romantic thing he had ever done...and i'm sure i'll never forget that night...full of memories...i'm sure...for both of us...especially when that was only 3 days before my 21st birthday!!
had my ROM banquet...not many people attended...cos we didnt invite...only family members were there...but it was heart-warming...

had loads of fun taking my wedding photos...

went at the studio...we must have been one of the easiest couple to take photos of...

then went sentosa for outdoor shoots...wanted to climb that "孩子树" but i wasnt allowed to...~BOO~
then i also went tour leading to Bali with gerri...was a nice experience...

Bali is really a nice place to be at...wonderful beaches...nice shopping...fantastic place...i muz bring my darling there one day...!
then it was our wedding dinner...most of my friends turned up...really enjoy the night!!!
lotsa well-wishes...lotsa fun...lotsa food and booze...

that really explains why darling had to go to the washroom a few times before heading home...had to sit outside the house with him for almost an hour before he recovered to go inside the house...had to change for him as he was dead drunk and couldnt change out of his clothes...
then the amkss friends...i heard yirong and june yi had to wash car...cos some of them puked in it...
but anyway...it was still a great deal of fun...
then started all the routine check-ups at the hospital with darling accompanying me for almost every single one of it...
saw baby for the first time...i can still remember the excitement...
and i still remember the joy on darling's face...when he first felt baby's kickings...
still remember a month ago...when i called him at the hospital...his worried look when he arrived...
not to mention...i also received my excellence service award this year!! exciting sia...

and finally...at company's annual xmas party...i won a major prize!!!
it was the 5/6th prize (cos it was the same prize)...an SQ return air-ticket to Hong Kong!!!
omg...i think its the first time i've won such a grand prize...

it must be a good way to end off the year for me...

stepping into the first few days of 2007...
it seems like nothing much has changed...
we're all still the same...
but i knw that there are really a lot a lot of things that are going to be different this year...
we're expecting baby in less than 2 weeks...
this isnt going to be easy...but i knw we can just manage it well...

will be resuming work just before the march natas fair...
i dont knw how i'm going to cope...but i guess i'll work sth out...

will be resuming my tour leading duties sometime soon after i return to work...
at that time...baby will be only 3-4 months old...
i really dont know if i will bear to leave my child...even for only 3 days...
but i guess...i'll work something out...

anyway...a lot a lot...super lots of uncertainties ahead...
but i guess that's just life...
so i just hope...
everything will be better for the year ahead...
not just for me...but for ALL that are around me!!!

its xmas eve today ok...and i juz came back from lunch...haha...
yearend is always a joyous festive season...
and of all the festivals....i love x'mas the most!!!
although it means burning a big big hole in my pockets buying presents...BOO~
nonetheless...its still great fun!!
getting together with friends...blah blah blah~

anyway...past few days have been great fun too!!
first it was xmas party in office...
we were all busy exchanging presents...having fun...
and the lucky draw muz be the "highlight" of the day!!
and i won an air-ticket to Hong Kong on SQ!!
omg...lucky me right?!?! haha...couldnt believe it...heez...=)
then gerri's sis gave birth to a big cute chubby sumo wrestler baby...haha...
so super duper cute!!
juz looking at the pictures makes my day...

then went to see Yatie and her baby ytd afternoon...
she's doing great.......and her baby tooo!!!
heez...

then we proceeded to The Cathay...wanted to catch the 5+ show...
that Jay Chow movie...
then can go for dinner at PS 7+...haha...
what a perfect arrangement right...
then wont go home too late also ma...
but hoh...stupid me...
forgot to book tickets first...
then when we reached...sold out liaoz...
haiz~ had to settle for 6.10pm show...
then the show finished 8+...no mood for dinner liaoz...
no appetite also...
haha

well...the show...i personally feel that its not really very nice la...
not as nice as all the reviews made it to be...
well...its may be a really expensive movie...
but storyline...quite weak...
erm...jay's acting...not that fantastic...
gong li was good...
but chow yun fatt could have done better too...
overall...it could have been much better i guess...
but i really like the 菊花台 song...
suits the show perfectly!!!

walked down orchard road...
so nice...
all the lightings and the atmosphere...was very very good!!
wanted to buy more xmas presents...
for more friends..
darling told me not to bother buying for his brothers...
haha...so ok lo...no pressies for them!
then...erm...wrapping the night up...nothing much done...

now...let me go sleep ba...
i'm becoming more and more like a pig! haha...

back at work

haha...after resting at home for 2 weeks...
i'm back in office!
woohoo...hahaha...
its like...finally ar...finally i can get out of home...haha...

well...there's been some unhappiness with dearz these 2 weeks...
was so angry with him...
but we managed to get things solved...
well...some really stupid and trivial matters la...
not worth mentioning about also...

actually i should really thank God for giving me my darling...
he's always been there for me...
even when we were going thru bad bad times...
even when i have my mood swings...
even when i was throwing tantrums...
even when i was juz doing stupid things for attention...
hahaha...yah yah yah...i'm childish...
and i'm behaving like a child...
but so what...i guess wat's important is that u have someone there who's always willing to accommodate you...=)

after 6 weeks...dusk is back in singapore...
they went boat quay last week...but i had to give it a miss...
cos darling didnt want me to go those places now...
then last night...they met out for dinner and mj...
i also had no part in it...
cos darling say i have to work today...and shld sleep early...
hmmm...actually is i say i dont wanna go la...
i actually feel bad lo...
he's always at home...accompanying me...
but i think he should have his own time with his friends...
doing his own things also ma...
so i decided i'll stay at home and sleep early...
haha...
then i really sleep early lehz...i slept at about midnight...
but then...i woke up real early too!
before his mj game was over...
i woke up and started sms-ing him to ka jiao his game...
hahahhaa...

then hoh...back at work now...
everything seems so 陌生 to me...
like dunno what to do lidat...
how to pick up the pieces...

then today afternoon i'm on leave again...
then back for the rest of the week...

a new maid

hohoho...
before xmas is here...my new maid is here...haha...
well...she's from indonesia...
and supposedly experienced in jakarta...
but she still seems a bit slow to me...
i guess this is part of the cultural differences that i have to adjust to...
anyway...my mom-in-law took leave today to ask her to do some chores...
so here i am...blogging...hahahaha

it will be my turn tml...
omg...cant imagine me...myself telling her to do things...
then i sit around and watch tv...omg...
that certainly sounds bad...
anyway...its saturday tml...
so everybody shld be at home rite...haha...

she's nvr been to singapore...cant speak english...or mandarin...or any other dialects.......
haha...so being the GOOD gal...employer...wadever...
i went to the library juz now to borrow some books to learn malay...
haha...so that i can converse with her...
think about it...
i think for the next 3 months...
yes...including my confinement months...
i'll be seeing her the most...
cos she's gonna accompany me back to my mom's place for confinement...
now when i'm still on leave...she's at home everyday...
and in the next few weeks when i'm clearing leave....
she is also at home...

haha...anyway...enough talking about her...
i went causeway point with jolene ytd...hahahaa....and had sakae sushi buffet high tea...
hahhaa....
so nice....niceyyy!!!
collected my hp too...
and bought somemore stuffs for baby...courtesy of jolene...
but i'm still puzzled....

i've been working for a longer time ok...

then went to meet wing at northpoint...
had some more ice-cream...
cos neither of us had appetite for dinner...
anyway...shocking news yet again...
although quite predictable already...
