Mid Autumn Festival Lightings @ Chinatown

since its Mid Autumn Festival nearing...
and Kayden's been bored at home...
i decided to bring him to Chinatown...

there was a line of red lanterns

then we went to the overhead bridge
but Kayden didnt seem to be in a mood for photos...
so most of the photos he wasnt looking at the camera

i just took a couple of days leave to stay home with him...
let's hope he gets well in this week so he doesnt have to be hospitalised again ok...

kayden's haircut

we brought Kayden for a haircut today...
and he was such a gem!

he didnt cry nor scream and shout...
he was a bit scared at the beginning...
i had to carry him so he didnt have to sit on the chair by himself...

but after a while he wanted to sit on the chair for his haircut...
and he enjoyed himself watching TV that was in front of him...

the only problem was he was getting distracted very frequently
and was turning his head around pretty often...

Kelvin's leaving for Thailand

well..its been almost 10days since kelvin left for Thailand...
and its about one more month till he'll come back...

(i took the day off from work to send him to the airport with kayden...)
but naughty kayden was quite a cry-baby that day
i guess he knows that daddy will be going away
and cries at every second he didnt see his papa around

when kelvin went away for 5mins for a puff...
kayden cried through the whole 5 minutes...

so i had to bring him home before it was time for kelvin to board
so that its kelvin seeing us off instead of the other way round...

nonetheless...

kayden's learnt something new!

haha...kayden's a really clever boy...
he learns things soooo fast...
though he doesnt get them right all the time...

see...he's learnt to pose "Eeeee" for the camera...see...this is pretty ugly...
so we're still trying to fine-tune him on that...

but he's learnt to pout too! isnt this cute!

baby full month celebration

haha...dont get me wrong!!
it's not me...
i'm not pregnant...neither do i have a 2nd child yet...

we went to kelvin's cousin's baby full month celebration
but i forgot to bring my camera along...
so no photos of the beautiful lil' kelicia...

she's really pretty!
with sharp features and a tall sharp nose!

a pity she was sleeping most of the time...

anyway...this is kayden on the way...
his grandparents made him wear those funny shades...
which made him look super funny!
doesnt lil' kayden look "dashing" here...

anyway...kayden loves the little baby
he's always bringing me into the room to take a look at the baby
and he'll stand by her bed and stare at her sleep...
then he'll sayang her so gently!

now...is he a little gentleman!

work

yeah...i havent been blogging as much lately...
hopefully in the future i'll have more time to
cos i'll be moving on to the AU team at work...
which means i'll be servicing the Australia and New Zealand market...
that means i'll have to move on to work in their time zones!!!
if u know...Australia is about 3 hours ahead of us...
and New Zealand 4!
so...in the near future...
i'll be working from 7am but knocking off at 4pm...
i'll then have no problems picking Kayden up from the childcare...

i was going thru my stuffs at home last evening...
and i chanced upon my wedding photos...
then i decided to post the entire series on my blog here...
cos i realised i havent already done so!!!

blur me...i shld have posted them here 2yrs ago when they were taken...
see how i have grown so much fatter within just a time frame of 2 yrs....haiz~

but nonetheless...i still love these photos!!

finally!!! kayden has learnt to hold a handphone the correct side up...

and he is holding it to the correct place - the ear...

and he's talking to it...

he used to hold the phone upside down...etc

and never to his ear...

he always hold it to the back of his head...

and he would run away whenever he hears a sound from the phone...

seems like he's having fun with the phone too!

weekend with Kayden

on sunday...we went to visit ah gong at TTSH...

he had dengue fever...

and was hospitalised....

poor ah gong...

kayden didnt know what was going on...

but there were certainly a lot of people there to play with him

he was having a fun time eating bread...

a side note...he learnt to sit on a ledge too...

see he's sitting with his uncle...and eating his bread...

ah gong's 80th birthday celebration

it was ah gong's 80th birthday yesterday...

we all went to OCC for his birthday celebration...

quite ok la...

food was reasonable...but PRICEY

we didnt find it fascinating...but the price indeed shocked us...

but nonetheless...

it was a happy occassion...

well...it does seem that people that i do not expect reading this blog are reading..

i guess even an idiot can guess who u're writing about as long as you're involved in the incident...

i'm not like certain girls that complain to their boyfriends...hubbies...etc etc etc
for every small matter that happens in their lives...
i do believe we should give people and ourselves our own breathing space...
but for this...
i do believe my hubby should take note of it...
and steer clear of the paths of these people...

in anyway...
i still have no chance to talk to him about such trival matters yet...
he hasnt been home for the past 2 wks
and only really came back last evening...
and i was home late...

nonetheless...i shall make it a point to copy the log of the history of the conversation
and show it to my hubby
and see what he says about it...!

anyway...he's gonna be away in august again...
damn sianz...away again...and this time...it'll be for a longer period!!
and overseas somemore...
cant even talk/call..
cant be back on the weekends or even for a short nights out

and worse...
our travel gotta be postponed again...
AGAIN...
i dont care!!
this time round...for the final time...
i'm gonna go ahead and book my leave...
book the travel...
and go ahead with all travel arrangements....
if he cant make it, i'll go alone!!!!

i'm not saying a university education...a degree is not important...
i do believe it is important...
and especially so in today's society
ask a 3-yr-old kid..
and he'll be able to tell you university is important and he would want to study in one too!

i do, too, want to study in a university...
but not purely for the sake of a higher pay
(if i were to say not for money at all that would be fake)
in this travel line...
i dont think education makes much difference
experience is more important...
your past working experience...
and where have you worked with...
your contacts...your resume...all works way more impt than a certificate...

not one word have i ever said to say that its not important
however...it is NOT EVERYTHING...
it does not guarantee you a high pay...
it does not guarantee you better jobs etc
i do have friends and colleagues who only have O Levels passes
and have high pays...doting husbands and loving children...
i guess to me...that's more important...

and as for the gossip-mongers i mentioned in my previous entry...
i'm just gonna ignore them from now on...
well...since we've never been really close...
i guess i shldnt let these stupid matters bother me from now onwards...

as long as i know what i am doing...
and i dont feel any wrong in them...
i dont have to listen bother about what other people say or view about my words!

dinner with colleagues at Carousel

last friday night...we had a team dinner at Carousel...
3 of our team couldnt make it...
but the rest of us were there...
and the dinner was fun!!!

the food spread was good...
the group was fun...
everything was just fun...

and there was a super cute baby there too...

and after the dinner...
we went for a ktv session at partyworld at IB...
its that latest Partyworld in Orchard..
and the place is quite big...
i mean...look at the room size of our room...
its HUGE!!!

a pity i had to leave early as i was catching a movie with kelvin and friends...
we caught Red Cliff on the night it opened!!!
the show not bad la...
but i thought it ended pretty abruptly...
in anyway...i'm looking forward to Part II of it...

excursion to the zoo

06 May...we brought Kayden to the zoo again...
so its Kayden's 2nd trip to the zoo...
and he loves it!!!
everything's so interesting...
not only to him...me too!
i love going to the zoo...

and kayden's learn to imitate the roar of a lion cos we heard it once then...
now everytime you ask him "Kayden lion...how does a lion roar?"
he'll go "rah...rah...rah.."
its super cute...!
