Accor Hosted dinner at Novotel Clarke Quay

okok...i know that...its the 3rd post for today...
but its not often that i get to use the computer at home ok...
moreover...Kayden's sleeping!!!
which means no disturbance while i'm blogging...
anyway...friends have been complaining that i havent been blogging...
no updates on my life...and kayden...etc etc

okok...in anyway...
08May08 we went to Novotel Clarke Quay for a dinner hosted by Accor...
the buffet dinner was superb!!
even if i had to pay for the dinner...
i would say its value for money...
the beef was so succulent and tender...
and the Salmon sashimi was soooo fresh...
and i seriously think that they served Salmon belly....
oooh....just thinking of it makes me salivate...
maybe i will bring the family there for dinner tomorrow to celebrate Mother's day....

okok...some photos taken on the way to our destination from office...
tonnes of camwhoring!!!
starting from the toilet...
my kakkak from DWT days...

in the lift..

we had wanted to take the shuttle bus from Amara Hotel...
but somehow we decided to take public bus instead...

the smokers at the bus stop...

and on the bus...

during the dinner....

then presenting to you...our REISSUE DEPT...

(of cos...its self-proclaimed...we do not have the power to open a new dept in the company...haha)

and then we went drinking for a while after the dinner....
just our team and i...
not the full team though...
cos the next day was a working day...
somemore photos for the night...

(i forgot where this was taken-shld be taken over dinner though)
these are taken at the Arena

okok..and some group photos to end off the night...

09May08 - Kayden's MMR Vaccination

today...
we brought Kayden to the paediatrician for his MMR vaccine and the pneumocaucal booster jab...
see how happy kayden is on the way to the clinic...
he doesnt know what's coming on the way...muahahhaahahahaa *evil-grin*

at the clinic...
he was so fascinated by the fishes...
and there were so many children around to play with him...
i guess its really exciting for him...

the jab was very fast...
took like what less than 5mins...
it must have been really painful this time...
cos nvr had kayden cried so badly for any of his jabs previously...
but luckily...he had stopped crying before we even came out of the room...
wahahaha...he's a brave lil' boy!
and so...we rewarded him with breakfast at MacDonald's!

Sunday home with Kayden and my father-in-law

it was Sunday afternoon...
and I forgot where Kelvin was...
but in anywhere...i was home with Kayden...
and my father-in-law came home from the market...
and brought a waffle for Kayden...
so below are some photos...
aint he simply getting cuter by the day...
haha...i'm a proud mommy...
but not only that....kayden's also getting NAUGTHIER by the day...
for that...i shld start giving him some punishments right...
but i just cant bring myself to scold nor beat him lehz....hmmmm...

anyway...see the following photos...
and try guessing what's happening!!!

okok...anybody managed to guess what was happening???
remember just now i said my father-in-law (*FIL in short ok...) bought Kayden a waffle...
so the first 2 photos showed him playing around with Kayden...
he was trying to coax Kayden into giving the waffle to him...
but Kayden refused and was running around the living room trying to hide from him...
then my FIL gave up and started eating rambutans...
then kayden also wanted some...
so that's the 3rd picture...
and then kayden suddenly remembered his waffle was taken away when he was eating rambutans...
so on the 5th picture...
he was lying on the floor crying and throwing tantrum...

got it...

haha...funny string of events right...=)

PS: to my colleagues who saw the photos on my camera...now you know right...this guy is NOT my hubby...he's my hubby's daddy!!!

Death...

its the first time i ever encountered death so close...
i've never attended many funerals...
the few times that i have attended...
are Christian funerals...
and these are joyous events...
as the deceased have gone to join our Father in heaven...

last week...
kelvin's aunt passed away...
and we spent the whole weekend at the wake...
and finally "sending her off" at Choa Chu Kang

as we're not very close to this aunt
we actually did not feel anything much
however
on the last night...
when the priests came to do all the rituals and the chanting
so many people were crying their hearts out...
the deceased's sisters...
the closer relatives...
her niece and nephews...
her sons and pregnant daughter...
i couldnt help but feel sad from the bottom of my heart

it was also at this time that i truly felt that this is not just some kids playing "masak-masak"
its for real...
someone has actually left us...
though it didnt hurt me much...
as she wasnt someone really close...
however...to her close friends...her children...
they've lost someone so dear...

on sunday morning...
we were at Choa Chu Kang cemetary...
saw the coffin lowered down into the ground...
everyone started throwing a handful of sand and shouting out to her...
it was such a sad sight...
her sisters were crying their hearts out...
my mom-in-law just lost a sister-in-law...she too was crying her hearts out...

well...i used to be soooo afraid of Chinese funerals...
bcos of all the chinese dolls and chanting...etc
however, i've come to realise...
beneath all these...
people have lost their loved one...
